
The readiness of the cultural and educational center on Oktyabrsky Island is estimated at 68%. This was reported by the press service of the government of the Kaliningrad region.
Now, work is underway on the installation of a monolithic frame of the museum complex, the construction of internal walls and partitions, and the installation of engineering networks has begun in the premises.
On the western site of the island, the construction of an opera and ballet theater has begun, and on the territory of the Higher School of Musical and Theater Arts, soil testing has been completed, piles are being driven.
It is noted that the builders began to gradually switch to materials of domestic manufacturers. On April 8, the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the North-West Federal District Alexander Gutsan inspected the progress of work.
As RBC Kaliningrad wrote, the total cost of construction of the museum and cultural complex on Oktyabrsky Island exceeds 27 billion rubles.
The customer of the construction is the National Cultural Heritage Foundation. The buildings of the Moscow State Academy of Choreography, the Central Music School at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory, as well as a general education school and a hostel for students were erected on the eastern site behind the Kaliningrad stadium. A museum complex of the Tretyakov Gallery, a branch of the Bolshoi Theater and the Russian State Institute of Performing Arts is being built on the western site. All these facilities should be commissioned between 2020 and 2023.
