Today, July 1, an in-depth medical examination of people who have recovered from the coronavirus began in St. Petersburg. The decision on this was made by the Government of the Russian Federation in December 2020.

According to the document, the dates for additional examinations for those who have recovered from COVID-19 should be scheduled no earlier than 60 days after recovery. Among the proposed diagnostic procedures is the determination of the level of saturation (an indicator that determines the level of blood oxygen saturation). If the saturation is 94% or less, the doctor should prescribe additional CT and ECHO cardiography.

Those who recovered from COVID-19 were conditionally divided into four categories. Priority medical examination is indicated for those who have two or more chronic diseases, those who do not have or have one chronic non-communicable disease were assigned to the second level priority. The third in line are citizens who have not applied to a medical organization for more than 2 years, in the fourth category - all the rest.

Clinical examination for those who have recovered from coronavirus will be organized jointly with the Territorial CHI Fund. Due to the difficult epidemic situation, medical institutions themselves will invite those who have been ill for examination.
