Over the past day, 6,001 new cases of coronavirus infection have been detected in Moscow. This was reported by the capital's operational headquarters in Telegram.

This is a record figure since July 9, when 6,443 people fell ill with COVID-19 per day in the city.

A day earlier, on October 8, 4,595 people with coronavirus were detected per day.

In total, 141 people died in Moscow over the past two days: by October 8 - 71 people, by October 9 - 70 people.
