At the same time, Mika Salminen believes that it is not worth lifting all the anti-virus restrictions at once, but strict security measures will no longer be needed due to the wide coverage of the population by vaccination. In addition, Finland is considering introducing a “covid passport” as an alternative to coronavirus restrictions. Unvaccinated Finns will be able to receive it after testing negative for COVID-19 .

As of the end of August, about 6.7 million coronavirus vaccinations had been made in Finland; about 2.7 million people (about 50% of the population) completed the full vaccination cycle.
