Rospotrebnadzor explained the introduction of self-isolation for the unvaccinated in Yugra

The self-isolation regime for those who are not vaccinated against COVID-19 had to be introduced in four municipalities of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug (KhMAO) due to the incidence rate in these municipalities, which exceeds the average for the district. This was stated by the deputy head of the regional department of Rospotrebnadzor Inna Kudryavtseva, TASS reports.

“[In these municipalities] the incidence rate is higher than the regional average, they are consistently high. <...> Those who are not vaccinated and have not been ill can become infected, get sick, so health protection measures must be taken against them. These are the measures that the region has taken to reverse the situation with the incidence,” she said.

As Kudryavtseva said, the issue has been considered since last week - after a corresponding instruction from the governor of the region, Natalia Komarova.

RBC turned to the health department of KhMAO-Yugra for a comment and sent a request to the regional Rospotrebnadzor and the government of the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug - Yugra.
