“Probably, even specialists, sociologists and political scientists, will agree with me: to be in power for almost 22 years in one position or another and have more than 80% of the population’s support – this can be entered in the Guinness Book of Records,” Peskov said, calling this indicator “huge ".

The day before, the All-Russian Center for Public Opinion Research (VTsIOM) published the results of a survey, according to which 81% of Russians out of more than 11,000 adults surveyed declared their trust in the Russian president. Over the week, the level of trust in the head of state among citizens increased by 0.4 percentage points. 15.4% of those polled declared their lack of confidence in Vladimir Putin.
