Perm clothing factories are looking for professional personnel in the industry in the context of sanctions to increase production and complete import substitution of the light industry.

The garment factory in Yelovo plans to expand production in the face of economic sanctions. The company is going to fulfill the tasks of import substitution, according to the website of the regional government. Currently, the factory employs 70 people, among them are high-class technologists, cutters and other specialists. In May of this year, the management of the enterprise plans to purchase new equipment, and by June 2022 to open another 25 new jobs thanks to the creation of a new workshop for sewing a wide range of overalls. This will increase production volumes. In addition, the factory is considering the launch of related production.

“In May of this year, the management of the enterprise plans to purchase new equipment, and by June 2022, open another 25 new jobs thanks to the creation of a new workshop for sewing a wide range of overalls. This will allow us to increase production volumes,” say the Yelovskaya Sewing Factory.

However, as local market players say, the sphere has long been experiencing a shortage of personnel. Even with the creation of favorable working conditions - stable wages, a social package and benefits - it is almost impossible to find new employees. There are several reasons for the shortage of personnel in the light industry. Elena Markelova, CEO of Darra sports production, believes that one of the main problems is the lack of professional education in the field.

“At our base or at any other, they are ready to create training workshops for training, to equip sewing jobs in order to teach specialists for themselves, but not everyone can afford it, not everyone can do it, because this is a rather lengthy process,” - said Elena Markelova, CEO of sports production Darra.

The process of education in the light industry is quite long and costly. For example, about 400 thousand rubles are spent on full training within six months. At the same time, there is no guarantee that trained specialists will remain working at the enterprise. In addition, the number of educational institutions that train workers for the light industry has declined sharply. There are only a few of them in the Kama region. Now you have to look for employees on job search services or through Avito. Elena Markelova is now ready to accept another 15 new employees.
