Nizhny Novgorod region reached a plateau in coronavirus

The Nizhny Novgorod region has reached a plateau in the incidence of COVID-19 . This was announced by the Minister of Health of the region David Melik-Huseinov.

The head of the Ministry of Health noted that daily monitoring of cases, hospitalizations and ongoing laboratory tests suggests that the dynamics of the increase in cases has stabilized.

“As expected, the peak of the current wave is much lower in level than the previous wave at the beginning of the year,” Melik-Guseinov emphasized.

Currently, about a thousand beds for patients with coronavirus infection have been deployed in the region. They are located mainly in infectious diseases hospitals and departments.

According to the operational headquarters, 1317 new cases of COVID-19 infection were registered in the Nizhny Novgorod region today.
