The Russian Ministry of Health has prepared the necessary documents that the EU requested to start the procedure for mutual recognition of COVID-certificates, they were received in Brussels, RBC was told in the department.
Earlier in an interview with RBC, EU Ambassador to Russia Markus Ederer said that the Russian side had not yet provided the necessary documents. “I regret this because mutual recognition of equivalence, including Russia’s recognition of EU digital covid certificates, would definitely make life easier for people traveling both ways,” he explained.

“Following the results of consultations, the Russian Ministry of Health prepared the necessary documents requested by the European side. They were sent to the representation, their receipt was confirmed by an employee of the EU delegation on September 30,” the ministry said.
They also noted that the details of a visit to Russia by representatives of the European Medicines Agency (EMA) as part of the Sputnik V vaccine certification procedure are now being coordinated. “The visit can take place as early as December,” the ministry concluded.
