Gunzburg announced a way to combat the delta strain of COVID-19

To defeat the delta strain of coronavirus, it is necessary to maintain a high level of antibodies in the blood. This recommendation was given by the director of the National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology. N. F. Gamalei Alexander Gintsburg, RIA Novosti reports.

The specialist explained that with the spread of previous strains, including Wuhan, it would be enough to revaccinate once a year or one and a half. At the same time, with the delta strain, you need to constantly keep a high level of antibodies in the blood, "in order to catch it before it penetrates our cells."

Earlier, on November 8, Gunzburg reported that 300 antibodies are enough for complete protection against the COVID-19 delta strain . According to him, the center conducted research jointly with the Department of Health of Moscow, the data of 4 thousand residents of Moscow were studied.

“We found that 300 antibodies (international units) completely protect against delta. If less, then you need to be vaccinated with Sputnik Light,” Gunzburg said.
