Deputies of the Legislative Assembly of the Novosibirsk Region at the 21st session of the seventh convocation unanimously voted for the removal of powers from parliamentarian Valentin Sichkarev.

At the end of December last year, the Chulymsky District Court of the Novosibirsk Region found Sichkarev guilty of fraud on an especially large scale. He was sentenced to four years of probation. The court applied a similar punishment to two more defendants in the criminal case: Vitaly Kukhta, director of Selkhozprod LLC, and Vladimir Moiseev, head of a peasant farm in the Chulym region. The court found that the convicts stole 2.3 million rubles.

According to investigators, in July 2017, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Novosibirsk Region and Moiseev entered into an agreement to provide a subsidy in the amount of 6 million rubles. for the development of a family livestock farm. As of December 2019, the balance of the allocated grant amounted to RUB 2.3 million.

In December 2019, the defendants, using the details and settlement account of Selkhozprod LLC, submitted fictitious documents to the Department of the Federal Treasury for the Novosibirsk Region about allegedly completed work on the repair of a granary and a livestock complex owned by the head of the peasant farm and located in the village of Kokoshino, Chulymsky district.

“Sichkarev organized the commission of this crime and supervised its execution,” the regional department of the Investigative Committee said.

The parliamentarian tried to challenge the court's decision, but the Novosibirsk Regional Court upheld it.

Valentin Sichkarev was elected to the Legislative Assembly of the Novosibirsk Region in September 2020 from electoral district No. 10. The parliamentarian served as deputy chairman of the committee on budgetary, financial and economic policy and property, and was also a member of the commission on voters' orders. Sichkarev was a member of the United Russia faction.
