The death toll from a gas explosion at a residential building in the town of Stupino near Moscow has risen to six, including at least two children. This was reported to TASS and RIA Novosti by a source in emergency services.

“The bodies of three people, including two children, were found under the rubble. The death toll has risen to six people," the source said.

Earlier, the governor of the Moscow region, Andrei Vorobyov, reported that during the analysis of the rubble after the explosion, the body of one girl was found. In total, 60 people were evacuated from the five-story building, including ten children.

Earlier in the day, the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for the Moscow Region reported to RBC that the explosion killed three and injured a total of 22 people. Six of the victims were taken to the hospital, the rest were treated on an outpatient basis.
