"Take custody in the courtroom." The ex-director of Gomel's Milkavita has been sentenced to pay a bribe

In Gomel, a sentence was passed on the former general director of the Milkavita company and a representative of the private enterprises Kormzhivservis and Standardagro, which supplied veterinary medicines to farms. The head of the dairy company received a bribe of $7.5 thousand from a businessman "for assistance in settling accounts receivable.

The Prosecutor General's Office sent the Vtyurin case to the Supreme Court.
According to the prosecution, for a bribe, the director general of "Milkavita" gave the businessman the debts hanging on poor collective farms. They owed "Kormzhivservis" and "Standardtagro" and did not give the money. But they supplied milk to Milkavit, so the dairy plant could pay the debt to private firms rather than to farms. Ex-director Sergey Baboriko admitted his guilt, repented and cooperated with the investigation, but still got a long prison sentence: five years in a reinforced regime colony.

- This is a stain on my biography, which I will wash away all my life," he said in his last word and asked not to be punished by imprisonment.

The former director came to the court from home, but at the time of the verdict, the judge uttered the terrible phrase: "To be taken into custody in the courtroom. Therefore, Sergei Baboriko was immediately handcuffed. As with the representative of the commercial structure Sergei Melnikov, he was sentenced to three and a half years in a reinforced regime colony.

The verdict has not come into force yet, and he will be appealed.
