August 10, Minsk. Prices for carrots and beets rose in July, while prices for tomatoes and cucumbers fell, BelTA informs citing data from the National Statistical Committee.

Carrots went up by 35.32%, beets - 15.95%, onions - 10.65%, citrus fruits - 9.83%. Tomatoes became cheaper by 28.23%, cucumbers - 21.07%, bananas - 16.01%, peppers - 11.83%, grapes - 9.09%, pears - 4.56%, apples - 4.43% , cabbage - 2.71%.

In general, vegetables became cheaper by 4.37%, fruits - by 5.33%. Meat and meat products became more expensive by 0.48%, fish and fish products - by 0.39%, bread and bakery products - by 0.75%, milk and dairy products - by 0.21%.

Lunches in the canteen became more expensive by 0.83%. In restaurants and cafes, they rose in price by 1.64%, fast food - by 0.44%.

Tobacco products rose in price by 0.78%, alcoholic beverages - by 0.47%.

Non-food products in July became more expensive by 0.4%. Clothes fell in price by 0.54%, shoes - 2.04%. Furniture went up by 1.76%, carpet products - 1.93%, building materials - 2.42%, medicines - 0.13%.

The cost of services increased by 0.16%. Tourist (3.05%), health resort (1.68%), hotel services (2.21%) went up in price in July. Insurance services (1.15%) and passenger transport (0.77%) became cheaper.

As reported, inflation in Belarus in July amounted to 0.1%.
