Topic news The working schedule of the President of Belarus is always very eventful. Alexander Lukashenko holds conferences and working meetings on the most pressing issues of the country's development, regularly visits the regions, makes foreign visits and receives foreign guests himself, communicates with journalists, signs decrees and laws. And even when there are no public events, this does not mean that the HEAD of state is not working. However, even during his rest, be it hockey training or chopping wood, Alexander Lukashenko will occasionally find a reason for another order. As he likes to say, one must follow life in everything.

The "President's Week" project is for those who want to keep up with the head of state, to be aware of the most relevant statements and decisions of the Belarusian leader.

The most important foreign policy event of the week is the President's working visit to Oman. The head of state is visiting this Arab country on the Arabian Peninsula for the second time after a 17-year break. It's time to outline new prospects and restart relations. And there are already many agreements that promise business, joint work, and. And, of course, only the East can do it like they do in the East.
At the beginning of the week, the head of state visited POZHSNAB LLC in Borisov. Although the company is private, it works in the interests of the state, making products for a noble purpose - saving people. Its own developments and innovations, the presence of a professional team allow it to look confidently to the future, and Alexander Lukashenko can scale up this experience, providing the necessary assistance on par with state-owned enterprises. In fact, we are talking about the economy, which is already underway. During a conversation with the employees of the enterprise in Borisov, Alexander Lukashenko spoke not only about industry. The head of state answered a question about plans to deploy the latest Russian missile system "Oreshnik" in Belarus. It turns out that it has a considerable amount of space - a launch complex. And they will deploy new weapons left over from the withdrawal of strategic nuclear missiles in the 1990s. The corresponding infrastructure was carefully preserved and will now come in handy. "The decision was made. This is our defense. I must protect my people, who elected me President. This is my main duty. And security is the President's sacred business," the Belarusian leader emphasized.

Alexander Lukashenko also noted that Belarus really does have nuclear warheads (more than a dozen of them), and this is no joke, as some "experts" have said. Of course, such weapons are primarily necessary to deter opponents from possible attempts to cross the red line, which is the state border of Belarus.
Alexander Lukashenko also commented in detail on the events in Syria, where there is currently a division of power against the backdrop of the fall of the previous government. The President is confident that there is currently a struggle between the world's major players. And this is for Belarus, that it is necessary to protect its country and determine its own destiny. As for Syria, the head of state said that the opposition forces that came to power would most likely not break off relations with RUSSIA and Belarus unless the Americans and the West forced them to do so.

In addition, the President reported to the US Congress on the causes of the CORONAVIRUS pandemic and ways to combat it. Many of the conclusions turned out to be painfully similar to what Alexander Lukashenko had initially said and warned about. "We were right. And in this regard, I am glad that you finally realized that the old man was right then," the President said. Another

important issue this week was the approval of Belarus for the next five-year period. This was the key issue at the meeting held on Thursday, December 12,Security Council of Belarus.
On Friday, Alexander Lukashenko received students at the All-Belarusian Student Brigades Rally. Participation in this movement is an important part of his youth and the head of state, which he has warm memories of. He advised today's youth to try to paint their lives in bright colors and not lose their enthusiasm for work.
In MINSK, the President also held meetings on the Russian vector of cooperation. Issues of strengthening cooperation at the regional level were discussed on Monday with the Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region of the Russian Federation Gleb Nikitin, and on Thursday, the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia was a guest of the Palace of Independence.

The main document of the week - Alexander Lukashenko signed "On the Republican Budget for 2025". Revenues are projected at Br45.8 billion. The social focus of expenses will be preserved - a significant part of them will be expenses on wages, pensions, scholarships, benefits, as well as on the implementation of state social standards.

The head of state also , which comprehensively amends the Education Code.

Scholarships of the President of Belarus for 2025 66 young scientists, and representatives of various fields of activity state awards.

Other important news this week: another convicted of extremist crimes; President of the participation of representatives of Belarus in international events; on the transformation of specially protected natural areas; adopted in the judiciary.

A number of international congratulations on various occasions were sent to , , , , .

GOOD PROSPECTS. What Belarus agrees on in Oman
Let's start with the latest events: on Saturday, December 14, the President arrived in Oman on a working visit. This is already the second visit of Alexander Lukashenko to this country, and the first took place in 2007. Then the foundation for cooperation was laid. Since then, bilateral relations have gradually developed. The parties have developed a joint regulatory framework, formed, albeit small, but trade volumes, established contacts at the level of business circles, and held a number of significant cultural events.
In some places, the pandemic prevented more active growth of trade and economic cooperation, in other places, sanctions and other factors of both objective and subjective nature. But both sides are confident that the potential is much higher than the current level. In order to give a new impetus and actually restart the relations between the two countries, Alexander Lukashenko flew to Muscat.
The visit, in fact, crowned the active work of the Belarusian side in Oman throughout the year. Before that, there were political consultations, a business forum, a visit of a high-level delegation headed by the Minister of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade Alexei Bogdanov, who oversees cooperation with this country. And in October, Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko was received in Muscat. All this, as we can now understand, were preparatory stages for the visit at the highest level in order to consolidate the agreements already reached and outline the contours of cooperation for the future.

On Sunday, December 15, Alexander Lukashenko and the Sultan of Oman Haitham bin Tarek Al Said met in the Al Alam Palace in Muscat. First in an expanded format with the participation of members of the delegations, and then in a one-on-one format. The negotiations were preceded by a colorful welcoming ceremony.
It is noteworthy that although the format of the visit of the President of Belarus is working, the entire ceremony almost completely corresponds to the status of an official or state visit. Honor guard, performance of the anthem, volleys of artillery guns. All these and other nuances are a sign of special respect of the host party.

The leaders of the countries discussed the state and prospects for the development of relations, areas in which it is possible to give an additional impetus to bilateral cooperation. The heads of state also exchanged views on the current international agenda.
Such are the traditions in Oman that the main part of the negotiations takes place behind closed doors - the press is allowed in for only a couple of minutes to take a few protocol shots. But the ability to negotiate and trade is in the blood of local residents. Therefore, here, probably, like nowhere else, they know that money loves silence. And political issues even more so.

Nevertheless, the Belarusian ministers, who left the hall for negotiations in an expanded format, did not hide their optimism. They did not have to be particularly persuaded to talk on the record about plans for the development of bilateral cooperation.
Foreign Minister Maxim Ryzhenkov:

"In fact, we can feel the readiness of our Omani colleagues to build (as the President asked them, and they answered) long-term relations. At the heart of these relations, we already see mutual respect, truly genuine interest. We consider Oman as a state that throughout its thousand-year history has always had key positions in trade and development of relations throughout the region. This includes all of East Africa, relations with neighboring Yemen, India. Therefore, today we are very much counting on Oman's support not only in developing simple trade and economic relations between the two countries, but also in using Oman's capabilities to promote our products further in other markets. And there are prerequisites for this. Today, the leaders of our countries spoke in exactly this vein."

The Foreign Minister also said that the parties are already close to opening , which, in the best case scenario, could start operating as early as February. In addition, they agreed on a de facto visa-free regime for a period of 14 days - upon arrival, they will simply put a free stamp in your passport. All this should increase tourist flows and increase business interest. It is possible that in the future the question of opening in Muscat will also arise, but so far this is not being discussed. Before that, we still need to work together.
Minister of Industry Alexander Efimov:

"The current visit to the Sultanate of Oman is an element of the strategy for diversifying sales markets. So far, unfortunately, the trade turnover between Belarus and Oman in the field of industrial goods is not as developed as we would like and as required by the high level of political relations between our countries. At the same time, we see great potential for working with this state."

The Omani side is interested in the supply of Belarusian industrial products. First of all, passenger, cargo, road construction, municipal equipment. Interest has also been expressed in the supply of agricultural machinery and technologies, and such an area as tractor manufacturing is of great interest.

We are also talking about further supplies to third countries, since Oman has significant port capacities and a good logistics infrastructure.
During the visit, the parties will sign a memorandum of cooperation with the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Investment Promotion of Oman.

"We went even deeper and have already agreed to develop a specific roadmap, which will be filled with real projects implemented by our side in the Sultanate of Oman. Thus, we agreed that by the third quarter of 2025, the first successful projects should be implemented and demonstrate the success of our cooperation," the minister said.
Head of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Anatoly Linevich:

"I think that our prospects are quite good. Because the Ministry (of Agriculture of Oman - BELTA note) and the minister in particular are very interested. We invited him to visit the Belagro exhibition in 2025. He accepted this offer with pleasure. Plus, they will form a working group on their part to visit our country and the enterprises where we manufacture our products."
The Omani market is in demand for a wide range of Belarusian dairy products . They sell skim MILK powder , whole milk powder, and whey powder. The parties are also working on the issue of deliveries of baby food from the Volkovysk plant. "They are also further engaged in re-export, planning to create a joint venture here for packaging our baby food. Produce here and then sell to neighboring countries," the minister said.

There is high interest in domestic vaccines.

Another promising topic is drying camel milk. Belarus will supply the necessary equipment for this.

Oman's agricultural sector needs fertilizers to meet the needs of crop production using intensive technologies. Interest in deliveries of nitrogen fertilizers has already been expressed. There are several more areas to be developed in the future. For example, deliveries of compound feed and amino acids produced by BNBC for fish farming, which is well developed in Oman.

Belarus will also think about the possibility of delivering poultry MEAT to Oman. In this regard, some technical issues need to be resolved. But if things go well, both sides will benefit. "They don't hide the fact that they want to re-export - sell through themselves to neighboring countries. Of course, this is also beneficial to us. The main thing for us is to sell our products," the minister said.

THERE IS WHERE TO MOVE. How Minsk intends to develop "ancient" relations with the Nizhny Novgorod region and what does Alexander Nevsky have to do with it
The President met with the Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region of the Russian Federation Gleb Nikitin on Monday, December 9.
The country already has good trade turnover figures with this Russian region, but Alexander Lukashenko is convinced that there is room to move. "We have a trade turnover of over 700 million dollars. I think that in our lifetime we will still achieve a billion, despite the problems and difficulties that exist today, but which, as it turns out, only strengthen us if we do not stand still. We have learned to produce trams, electric buses, and buses. Whatever we do, we do it together. This is also very important," the President said.

Belarus is ready to continue its participation in various construction projects, work together in the shipbuilding sector, and continue cooperation in agriculture. "This is not only the supply and sale of agricultural machinery. We started with this at one time. We are ready to work together with you on the production, maintenance and repair of agricultural machinery, we are ready to supply the necessary agricultural products to your market. In turn, we are ready to buy the products we need from you," the Belarusian leader voiced his proposals.
By the way, it was Belarus that helped the Nizhny Novgorod Region develop agriculture a couple of decades ago. In particular, during the tenure of Valery Shantsev, who led the region from 2005 to 2017, as governor. "I remember when these projects were starting in agriculture and industry. I remember how he asked for grain and potato seeds," the head of state recalled. He noted that the region has now achieved a lot in its development and Belarus is happy to be involved in these results.

And the Nizhny Novgorod Region, in turn, is involved in the construction of the Belarusian NPP. It is there that the engineering company Atomstroyexport is located, which is engaged in the construction of nuclear power plants.

Alexander Lukashenko announced the possibility of opening a Belarusian in the Nizhny Novgorod Region, where both food and industrial goods would be sold to the population of this Russian region.

"With your support, we are ready to implement any project. We need only one thing - support , guarantees, so that we, as often happened to us, do not drown in this huge Russian abyss. We start working with some private enterprise - he abandoned it, ran away, we cannot find him ... Therefore, we need guarantees, reliability," said Alexander Lukashenko.

at the meeting was associated with the remark of the President of Belarus about the "ancient" relations of Belarus with the Nizhny Novgorod region. The head of state, speaking about this, most likely had in mind the long-standing cooperation that began several decades ago, but Gleb Nikitin decided to dig deeper, recalling the historical figure of Prince Alexander Nevsky, who was married to Alexandra of Polotsk (Paraskeva). She was a Belarusian princess, the daughter of Bryachislav Vasilkovich. "In fact, these relations between the lands go back centuries (to the times - BELTA note) when Nizhny Novgorod was founded, and it was founded in the year when Alexander Nevsky was born - 1221," he said. "

Gleb Sergeyevich, I got your hint. Now Alexander of Belarus must marry your beauty," Alexander Lukashenko responded to the governor's words with humor.
Following the meeting, Gleb Nikitin told journalists that the dynamics of relations between the Nizhny Novgorod Region of Russia and Belarus are absolutely incredible. This is due to the similarity of their economies. Both are based on high-tech manufacturing industries, so there are a lot of ties in industry. For example, one of the flagship joint projects is the formation of rolling stock for the reform of urban electric transport in Russia.

Due to the unprecedented nature of the relationship, it was decided that Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko would head the Business Cooperation Council on behalf of Belarus. It is also important that the next Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia will be held in Nizhny Novgorod. The grand opening of the Consulate General of Belarus in the city is scheduled for the same time.

"In general, we are extremely optimistic about our cooperation. I really appreciate the fact that Aleksandr Grigoryevich personally leads all the projects, remembers, supports and clearly notes our, Nizhny Novgorod, desire to further strengthen cooperation with Belarusian partners," Gleb Nikitin summarized.

PEOPLE LIKE THIS SHOULD BE SUPPORTED. How "dictatorship" helps in developing public-private partnerships
On December 10, the President made a working trip to Borisov, where he visited POZHSNAB LLC, which produces various fire-fighting and fire-fighting and rescue equipment. It is interesting that the enterprise is private, but works more than in the interests of the state.
The enterprise offers a whole system at once, including science, development, operation of equipment, as well as a set of machines necessary for the work of rescuers: from small patrol cars to huge fire ladders and tankers, other high-altitude fire-fighting and rescue equipment. The company's products are actively exported , including to Russia, Zimbabwe, Kazakhstan , Azerbaijan .

Naturally, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Belarus actively cooperates with this enterprise. Since its foundation, more than 1.3 thousand units of various equipment have been purchased, which currently makes up almost half of all special equipment of the rescue department.

The President was informed that specialists are literally developing new models of equipment from scratch, and all electronic components and software are domestic, not to mention large component parts that are manufactured at Belarusian industrial enterprises, such as MAZ. The DIRECTOR of the enterprise Oleg Deryabin presented the President with samples of the existing model range and those that are under development. The path from design to a real sample takes less than a year. And the presence of qualified specialists allowed the enterprise to continue its activities even after Western partners refused to work together. "Our specialists were able to quickly offer their developments, replace or improve the technologies and design of many models of equipment and machines," said the director of the enterprise.
"The demand is crazy. This means we can expand," stated Alexander Lukashenko.

He emphasized that this is a fundamental issue. Moreover, when forming certain programs, one should not invent anything, but focus on such enterprises and projects. "He is a private owner, but let's help him as a state enterprise," the Belarusian leader instructed.
The Minister of Emergency Situations Vadim Sinyavsky, using the example of cooperation with POZHSNAB, noted that Belarus has a unique situation in terms of effective public-private partnership. And his foreign colleagues have asked him about this more than once: "They don't understand how this happens here. MAZ is a state enterprise, POZHSNAB is a private enterprise, and the state agency is the Ministry of Emergency Situations, which brings all these issues together, works..." "

It's very simple - "dictatorship", - the President noted in this regard, not without a bit of humor.
On the presidential interest and the reconfiguration of the economy
Alexander Lukashenko also spoke about future development at a meeting with the company's employees. The head of state explained that he had come not just to look and be happy for the team: "As President, I am interested in something else - something important. If there is demand for your products on the market, will we be able to produce products in greater volumes, with higher quality, if necessary?"
Currently, about 250 people work at POZHSNAB, and with the expansion of production, the number of jobs can increase significantly, which is important for the economy of both the region and the country as a whole.

"It is important for me that there are such enterprises," said the head of state. "Well done. I have come to the conclusion for myself: such private enterprises should be supported. Not buy and sell (this is also necessary, because someone needs to sell, but we actually have no problems there), but we will support such production teams."

And, of course, it is important that "POZHSNAB", producing the final product, has cooperation ties with many, and above all with state-owned enterprises, where they purchase raw materials, parts and components, chassis and supplement all this with their own ultra-modern superstructures. And as a result, they get products for a noble purpose - saving people.

The President sets the task of developing further on the basis of this successful experience and competencies, scaling this example to other enterprises and sectors of the economy as a whole.
"This is how our economy is gradually being restructured. And the economy is enterprises," emphasized Alexander Lukashenko.

He will pay more attention to the industrial sector in the near future, to look at promising enterprises. This is necessary first of all in order to highlight those areas and individual objects where Belarus has successes, developed competencies that can be scaled up and developed in the near future.

Regarding innovations and the development of domestic production schools
, the President recalled that new directions are certainly being developed in Belarus, as was the case with the construction of the Belarusian NPP or BNBC. But mastering any new sphere is associated with significant financial investments and a long period of time. Simply put, it is long and expensive.
"Therefore, creating something new and investing in some new projects, I thought: why bother, we need to develop our schools where we can. We can build machines (MAZ, BELAZ, Belkommunmash). That is, based on those competencies, what we can do, we need to move forward and invest money in this. Because we have already tried to do it with our own hands," the head of state emphasized.

And in this regard, the example of POZHSNAB is indicative. "You did not just sell (your products. - BELTA note). You pulled our enterprises in," Alexander Lukashenko noted.

Special attention was paid to the competence of POZHSNAB LLC in manufacturing parts for fire-fighting and rescue equipment from fiberglass. The head of state instructed to think over and calculate whether it is possible to distribute it more widely, including in the production of passenger vehicles. "Specialists will calculate and report. If it works out economically, we will start making buses from fiberglass using your technologies," the President told the employees of the enterprise.
One of the obvious advantages of this material is its much lower weight than metal. For industries such as aircraft manufacturing, this is a significant factor. And Belarusian products will certainly find markets. For example, in Russia, where there are difficulties with the production of components after the departure of Western companies. Alexander Lukashenko assured that, if necessary, he will set the task for domestic manufacturers to improve the quality of fiberglass used to make fiberglass in order to move away from import purchases and fully provide themselves with their own raw materials and semi-finished products.

"Many such ideas appear. We take this under control, we will work on it," the head of state added. DEFENSE PLAN. What message does Lukashenko send to potential adversaries? On December 12, Alexander Lukashenko held a meeting of the Security Council of Belarus. The issues of planning the state's defense in the medium term were considered. "In recent years, the military-political situation around the country has changed, and, unfortunately, not for the better, as we all note and state, primarily military specialists. It is no secret that the main trend of the current moment is the accumulation of conflict potential in various regions of the world," the head of state outlined the seriousness of the issue. Some states, trying to show their importance and claiming the role of regional leaders, continue to escalate the situation around Belarus. "You know this well: NATO's actions and especially the events on the southern flank, Ukraine . At the same time, destructive rhetoric from European countries towards Belarus is growing. Which indicates ongoing attempts to destabilize the domestic political situation in our country," the Belarusian leader stated. He stressed that under no circumstances should . "We should not think that we are smart and have God by the beard, and everyone around us, especially in NATO, in America, are fools. No, these are experienced people with enormous strength, so we cannot relax," the Belarusian leader urged. "We must work with our people, convince, show, and most importantly, work so that people feel better. Then they will always support such a government. Therefore, we will work in this direction."

Alexander Lukashenko also mentioned that Belarus will take certain preemptive actions so that potential opponents and rivals understand that it is better not to mess with us and live in peace. The words "Oreshnik" (the latest missile system) or tactical nuclear weapons were not mentioned directly in the part of the meeting open to the media, but it is obvious that by "preemptive actions" the President meant, among other things, the deployment of these deterrent types of weapons in the country.

The head of state emphasized that the Belarusian army does not threaten anyone and is an instrument for preventing war, and in the event of aggression, it must be able to repel it.
Following the meeting, the President for the next five years (2026-2030). This document will subsequently become the basis for the defense decision and will allow the General Staff and all state governing bodies involved in the development of the plan to begin planning the defense of the state in the event of aggression. According to Defense Minister Viktor Khrenin, the approved defense plan was developed based on an in-depth analysis of the events of 2020 and the Russian special military operation in Ukraine , as well as taking into account the amendments made to the National Security Concept and the Military Doctrine of Belarus.

Some details were provided to journalists by Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces - First Deputy Defense Minister Pavel Muraveiko. The adopted systemic document presents five main areas. These are reducing the level of military danger and preventing military conflicts, preparing the state for defense (covering all areas, from the economy to the military sphere), options for armed defense of the country in various modern conflicts. In addition, these are issues of preparing the state economy and the state as a whole for functioning in the conditions of military action.

In turn, State Secretary of the Security Council Alexander Volfovich said that the meeting was devoted to the consideration of medium-term planning documents. For example, the State Defense Plan will expire next year and work is currently underway on an updated document.

PERSON ON THE AGENDA. What Lukashenko discussed with the Chairman of the Russian Investigative Committee
On December 12, the President of Belarus also met with the Chairman of the Russian Investigative Committee, Alexander Bastrykin. He arrived in Belarus to sum up the work of the Russian and Belarusian agencies at a joint board meeting. The event is planned, but the activity of interaction is only increasing every year.
The event began in an unusual way. Alexander Bastrykin, on behalf of the staff of the Investigative Committee of Russia, awarded the head of the Belarusian state the medal "For Loyalty to Official Duty". "In honor of your anniversary and for the fact that you are strengthening our cooperation," he justified the award.

"Training specialists, as we always do. Sharing experience, supporting our initiatives in the international arena, and joint actions. You can always count on us. We will act together, no matter what they say here, no matter how they try to pull us apart. Although this is less true for the heads of the Investigative Committee - one and the other, and agencies in general. This is more true for politicians, but nevertheless, there is nothing outside of politics today. Including our agencies, too, cannot be outside of politics. In the thick of things, sometimes politics. You get it. We get a little less. It seems to be calmer now. But this is relative calm. Therefore, you can be absolutely sure that you have reliable friends here," said Alexander Lukashenko.
As for the meeting itself, there was clearly no emergency, as the President likes to say. "It would be a sin if we did not meet while you are in Belarus. You know my attitude towards you. Our views on life, I would say, are absolutely identical," the President noted.

He shared that Bastrykin's person is sometimes mentioned in conversations with Russian President Vladimir Putin. "The elder one also talks about how you worked together when we touch on this topic," said Alexander Lukashenko. "In general, you are not leaving our agenda."

A FURY CONSTRUCTION TEAM. What colors does the President advise to paint life with and what will be declared a new youth construction project
On Friday, December 13, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko arrived at the Sports Palace in Minsk, where the closing of the third labor semester of 2024 was solemnly celebrated in the format of the All-Belarusian gathering of student brigades . The head of state received an invitation to attend the gathering during his visit to the Traktor stadium in Minsk. Combined student construction brigades took part in the reconstruction of the facility. Alexander Lukashenko then said that meetings with construction brigades were like balm for his heart, because it gave him the opportunity to remember his student life. "If it works out, I will be happy to visit your family," he promised. And, as we can see, he kept his promise.
First of all, to the head of state. The exhibition immerses you in the history of the student brigades movement of the Soviet Union and modern Belarus. For example, photographs of large-scale construction sites where Belarusian student brigades worked are on display here. The organizers also found a photo with the President - in it, Alexander Lukashenko is captured in the company of his student team.
Student teams are not only construction teams. There are many areas of activity. There are pedagogical, industrial, agricultural, medical, service teams. Alexander Lukashenko got acquainted with the work of the teams, talked to their representatives. "They are all so advanced!" - he shared his impressions of what he saw.

Summing up the results of the work semester is also an award ceremony for the best. The head of state to the best student team of 2024 - the "Zodchie" construction team named after P.I. Blokhin. The rest should not be upset that the banner this year was not theirs, because there are still many student construction projects ahead and the opportunity to prove themselves will still present itself.

A good tradition of student teams is participation in the rehearsal. Alexander Lukashenko, together with the entire audience and with the participation of professional singer Vladimir Gromov, sang "The Song of Troubled Youth". It was written in 1958 by composer Alexandra Pakhmutova and poet Lev Oshanin.
As one of the verses of the song says:

"Our concern is simple, Our
concern
is this: May our native country live,
And there are no other concerns!"

"What is very important, I noticed: all the bosses, ministers, members of the government (all those who were present at the event. - BELTA note) - all sang," Alexander Lukashenko emphasized.
Bright pages. About the main advice in life
Alexander Lukashenko called on young people to live their lives brightly. And of course, we are not talking about unbridled revelry and endless parties. Although, of course, it’s a young thing… But the President has something a little different in mind: “My advice to you: try to write the story of your life in bright pages. And one of the brightest pages of your life will be your participation in the student construction movement. Believe me, I know,"What am I talking about?"
The logic of the head of state in this case is simple: over time, everything bad in life is gradually forgotten, but everything good and bright remains in the memory forever. And even more valuable is the experience gained - what fills a person and makes him an individual. Especially if this person becomes a leader in the future.

Alexander Lukashenko admitted that, in part due to his work in student brigades, now, when visiting villagers and workers, he has something to say to people. "I want you to have something to say after many decades. And not only to your children, but also to those interlocutors with whom you will meet. And I believe that from this asset - there are 4 thousand of you today - new leaders, new ministers and so on will emerge," the head of state gave life advice.
He drew attention to the fact that many heads of enterprises and even ministries first demonstrated their leadership qualities in student brigades and still keep their uniform jackets as a sacred labor relic.

Bricklaying and melioration. On presidential science in construction teams
Student team members have always been eager to make their country better. And back in 1959, when they signed up for the first Soviet student construction team to go to the virgin lands, and now, although the times are, of course, completely different.

"That's exactly what I was like in my time. In one summer in the construction team, I learned how to lay bricks, and in another, I mastered the intricacies of the work of a melioration team," - the head of state.

As it turned out, this experience is also relevant for the President in his current position, because melioration is forever for Belarus. "Everything needs to be repaired and modernized. And this year we will modernize more than 100 thousand hectares of land and return it to crop rotation. You see, it came in handy in life," - noted Alexander Lukashenko.
The head of state said that for young people in those days, it was not only a way to earn money, although this was also very important. "We were becoming completely different people. Adults, independent. We had something to be proud of," the Belarusian leader emphasized. "This is very relevant now. Back then, we were already adults and independent - it was a difficult time. Today, it is easier. And, having been in a student brigade, you probably did not even notice how you became completely different people. But your parents , friends and relatives noticed it."

From a purely professional point of view, Alexander Lukashenko also appreciated the gift (in other words, a trowel) given to him by the participants of the student brigade movement. Its surface is engraved with images of the objects of the All-Belarusian youth construction projects. The thing, of course, is exclusively a souvenir. "If you work with this trowel for a day, you will not want to live. It weighs about five kilograms," Alexander Lukashenko noted with humor.
Do not lose your enthusiasm for work! About the engine that moves Belarus forward
"Do not lose your enthusiasm for work. Remember that your ideas and inexhaustible energy are the engine that moves Belarus forward. I believe in you, in your strength, in your talents. I am absolutely convinced and know for sure that even more grandiose discoveries and achievements await us ahead. Because this is the time. And this time has chosen us!" the head of state urged.

He emphasized that the work of student brigades is not only about bridges, roads, buildings. It is always also about people and their relationships. "Therefore, the leaders who provide places for you are far-sighted and wise people who wholeheartedly care about the youth and the future of not only their enterprises, but also the entire country. Such people must be supported," said Alexander Lukashenko.

True patriots. About the achievements of the student brigades movement Over
65 years, not just hundreds of thousands or millions of people, but several generations have passed through the student brigades movement. Belarus and Russia are the only countries in the post-Soviet space that have preserved this youth initiative and breathed new life into it.
In the history of sovereign Belarus, it all began in 2003 with the major renovation of the Khatyn and Mound of Glory memorial complexes. Then there were other significant sites. Among them were the reconstruction of the Augustow Canal, the construction of the Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant, and the State Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War. "We recently met at the opening of the renovated Traktor stadium. I saw that special pride and joy in the eyes of the soldiers who worked there. And I am convinced that those who have gone through such a school of life are true patriots of their country," the Belarusian leader emphasized. "You are different, you are true patriots, because those who build with their own hands will never destroy. And they will not allow others to do so."
Generations will remember. About the new youth construction project supported by Lukashenko
Currently, young people are working on the construction of the Center for Patriotic Education of Youth in the Brest Fortress. The landmark project has not only united the entire country. The construction has acquired the status of an international one.

But we must look to the future. Participants of the student construction team movement have approached the head of state with a proposal to assign the status of the All-Belarusian youth construction project of 2025 to two objects - the construction of the National Historical Museum and the Park of National Unity.
Before agreeing with this proposal, the President clarified: "Can you handle it?"

"Absolutely!" - they assured the head of state.
Alexander Lukashenko drew attention to the fact that the construction of these facilities, as well as many others, requires considerable financial costs, which fall primarily on the budget, but the entire Belarusian society should also take part in this regard. "This will be your solid contribution. And generations will remember your construction," the Belarusian leader emphasized.

"I do not object. We always need working hands," the President said.
