Oktyabrsky Dairy Plant celebrated its 50th anniversary with new technologies and an updated strategy. With what developments one of the oldest enterprises of the dairy industry enters the next round of development, the journalists of "7 Days" learned.

Packing is the best!

After the reconstruction at the branch of OAO Rogachevskiy MKK, the Oktyabrsky Dairy Plant again started to operate at full capacity the shop for packing dry dairy products. Even the chairman of the Gomel Regional Executive Committee Ivan Krupko came to congratulate the staff on the anniversary and on the launch of the workshop. He rejoiced for the factory workers, who opened a window of new prospects for growth and profitable activity.

- Reconstruction of the packing shop for the plant is an extraordinary event, - Vladimir Lutsky, DIRECTOR of the Oktyabrsky Dairy Plant branch of Rogachevskiy MKK, told the newspaper. – The fact is that skimmed MILK powder (SOM) is the main type of product for the enterprise. Previously, it was packaged exclusively in 25 kg bags at the Oktyabrsky Dairy. And the product went straight to the food industry enterprises of Belarus and abroad - for food production. Now there is an opportunity to occupy a niche in the consumer market - to enter the store shelves with powdered milk, packaged in 500-gram bags.

There is no doubt that the goods will go! Powdered milk is the dream of every housewife who wants to have this product that retains useful properties and is designed for long-term storage in the bins. An indispensable ingredient for making cereals, soups, pancakes, buns, as well as coffee and even tea!

The second most important type of product after SOM, produced by Oktyabrsky Dairy, has been butter for many years. It is sold both in transport corrugated packaging of 20 kg, and in consumer packaging - weighing 180 g and 2 kg. They produce here in a package of 200 g and chocolate butter - a childhood dream of all sweet teeth.

Ice cream that is high in protein, low in fat and SUGAR

This year, the Oktyabrsky Dairy Plant is entering a new niche for itself - the dry ice cream market, the recipe of which was developed by scientists from the National Academy of Sciences.

– Our Institute has handed over the documents for the production of dry ice cream to the eight best enterprises in the country, including the Oktyabrsky Dairy! - said Natalya Furik, Deputy Director for Research at the Institute of the MEAT and Dairy Industry of the Scientific and Production Center of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus for Food.

– Dry milk mix for ice cream, the production of which we will start on the eve of the spring-summer season, will be supplied to both cafes and ordinary consumers. That is, such ice cream can be made at home! - said the leading technologist of Oktyabrsky dairy Olga Odinets and specified: - On consumer packaging (and it will weigh 1 kg), we place hint information: how to restore the product at home. Our ice cream is less fat than the one sold in stores today, has twice the protein and less sugar!
