How JSC "Radonezhskoye" works - one of the leaders in the agricultural sector of the region

JSC "Radonezhskoe", located only 15 kilometers from Kobrin, has a long history. For 70 years, the enterprise has experienced many changes, but the fact remains that it is one of the leaders in the agricultural sector of the region. We visited there and found out how the flagship of the agricultural sector lives.

- In these places - a long growing season and mild winters, which contributes to good performance in the agricultural sector, - explains the director of JSC "Radonezh" Vladislav Balabushko. – Our specialization is classical: dairy and meat animal husbandry and crop production. However, it is on the first component that we stake.

The total land area of ​​the farm is 5798 hectares. Of these, more than 86% are agricultural land. Almost all of this volume falls on arable land, because the efficiency of animal husbandry directly depends on the quantity and quality of the grown feed, due to which the company receives the main revenue. They know how to grow crops in Radonezhsky. Forage preparation is carried out in the shortest possible time and according to the technologies. For better digestibility of corn silage, special graters are used, and finished feeds are flavored with a biological preservative.

At the beginning of 2021, the farm kept more than 4.2 thousand heads of cattle. Of these, 1800 are cows.

And they give "white gold", thanks to which the enterprise is systematically developing.

– The average annual milk yield per cow for 2020 was 6329 kilograms. At the same time, its marketability is about 92%. Almost the entire volume is made up of the extra variety. As for the average daily weight gain, last year we managed to reach the level of 595 grams, - explains the director. – The profitability of dairy products in 2020 reached 43%.

Of course, over time, every enterprise needs to be modernized, because technologies are developing faster every year. In "Radonezh" modern processes are understood very well. That is why the improvement of the material and technical base here is one of the primary tasks.

“There always comes a time when a dairy farm runs out of resources. And it makes you think about upgrading. In 2019, we completed the reconstruction of the Khodynichi farm. Thanks to this, it was possible to expand the complex and get the opportunity to keep 380 heads of cattle on it. The construction work was carried out by the specialists of the branch "Stroytrest No. 33" of OAO "Construction Trust No. 8". The renovated complex gave impetus to development. The quality of our products improved noticeably almost immediately,” says Vladislav Balabushko.

However, a considerable part of the plan was fulfilled by our own construction team. By the standards of the economy, it is rather big here - 30 people. Most are local residents, but there are also workers from neighboring regions.

“Last year, we focused on the reconstruction of trenches where fodder is stored. It was possible to increase the volume of storage up to 50 thousand tons. Among other things, they repaired a platform for settling equipment and a calf barn. All these works were carried out by our own team,” the director notes.

By the standards of the region, OJSC "Radonezhskoye" is a rather big enterprise. The number of employees in May 2021 was 243 people. There are many young people and experienced specialists, such as one of the old-timers of the economy, chief economist Vyacheslav Denisovich. By the way, the high level of professionalism of those working in "Radonezh" is noted at the level of the entire region! For example, Yuriy Bushchuk was recognized as one of the best machine operators in the Kobrin region following the results of the sowing campaign.

- We have a large team. And it is fair to say that it is always difficult to work with people, especially in agriculture. Everyone needs to find an individual approach. But it is thanks to our specialists that we have become a strong and stable enterprise,” the director notes.

About plans for the development of the economy for the future, Vladislav Balabushko says this:

“A lot will depend on the weather. But for our part, we will do everything to ensure that crop production works perfectly. If in a global sense, then, of course, we will make every effort for further development. After all, you can’t stagnate in one place. We have a lot of plans: to improve the material and technical base and the quality of products - this is the main key to success, - concluded the director of OAO Radonezhskoye with a smile.

In the park of OJSC "Radonezhskoye" there are several dozen pieces of equipment. Among them there are modern tractors, including power-packed ones, as well as loaders, sprayers, grain and forage harvesters.

JSC "Radonezhskoye" has an equestrian school located in Verkholesye. She has been training athletes since 2005. More recently, it became known that the building will be renovated by its own construction team. New showers, toilets, locker rooms and more will appear in the premises. The facade will be new, bright color. By the way, now 30 children study at the school, many of them come here from the regional center.

Empty cowsheds in Khodynichi are planned to be reformatted into a robotic farm. There are few such complexes in the country, and there is not a single one in the Brest region. The software that accompanies the robotic system will be able to control the rate of milk flow as well as feed delivery. It is planned that due to this, the average daily milk yield will grow to 25 liters instead of the current 18.5. Also, such a complex allows you to increase the life expectancy of cows and improve their health.
