news The main wealth of Agronemansky OJSC is people who are ready to work in the grain field from early morning until late evening in order to harvest every last grain on time. It is thanks to them that every year the enterprise is on the honorary list of leaders not only in the Stolbtsy region, but also in the entire central region. This year, the farm hosts on its territory one of the most important holidays of grain growers - the regional "Dazhynki-2024". 7 Days correspondents found out in what mood the villagers started harvesting, what their prospects were for the harvest and how they were preparing to honor the field workers. Gold of Belarus
Preserving bread by collecting every last grain is a real skill. Agronemansky OJSC copes with this strategically important task perfectly. In the fields of the farm, the hum of combines can be heard every day. The harvest here began on July 7. We started with winter barley, to which 100 hectares are allocated. According to the
director of the agricultural enterprise, Ivan Skvarchevsky, the yield cannot but rejoice - 75.7 c/ha. Rapeseed was next on the list. True, the weather interfered with the harvest without asking.
“The recent powerful hurricane made its own adjustments and added more work to farmers during an already difficult, busy time. 6–7% of rapeseed fell off. But still the result was good, the yield was almost 30 c/ha. True, a hundred times more effort was put into obtaining
the harvest . However, you can’t argue with the heavenly office,” argues Ivan Ivanovich. – We have started harvesting winter rye, 500 tons of which will go to the state order. Overall, the team picked up a good pace - more than 25% of the fields were cleared.
Local farmers laid the foundation for the future harvest in the spring, adding all the necessary fertilizers in full and within the exact technological time frame. Now, as they say, is the time to reap the fruits of your labor. This task, although not easy, is doable.
Approaching the field, together with the manager of the farm, we admire how the harvesters are moving through the golden field, like ships. A total of 7 units are involved in harvesting.
- Look how beautiful it is. These days we are putting the real gold of Belarus into our bins,” Ivan Ivanovich says proudly and offers to personally talk with the machine operators. Of course, they don’t have time for long conversations now, because everyone knows: a summer day feeds the year.
Vadim Kozlovsky is 21 years old. During the harvest, he is a senior combine operator. By the way, this season a young machine operator is being elected to the first thousanders. At the time of our arrival, Vadim had already threshed more than 620 tons.
– If you count like that, then this is my seventh suffering. Since his school years he worked as an assistant in collaboration with his father. Now I’m already the eldest,” the interlocutor notes with a smile and says that, having been born in the village, he consciously chose an agricultural profession. – I have been working on the farm for the second year after my assignment, as a workshop manager. And during the harvest period, I switch to a combine harvester and go ahead to harvest.
Our hero works together with his assistant, 18-year-old Dmitry Shurko, for whom this is the first harvest. The guy admits that he went to the harvest with great interest; he always liked powerful combines.
“In fact, I just realized what a difficult job it is.” There is so much you need to know, be able to do, and most importantly, be on time,” Dmitry notes and hurries to return to the combine cabin, because on a fine July day there is not a minute to lose.
As soon as the dew disappears While we are watching one powerful harvester cutting off the yellow stalks of rye on its way, another is already giving a signal, saying that the bunker is full, it’s time to unload. And a car immediately rushes towards him. The harvesting process is managed by senior combine operator Viktor Semenko and assistant Mikhail Tanakov. They are experienced machine operators and are among the permanent leaders. They come to the field as soon as the dew disappears. In the evening they turn off their harvester with her.
“There is a lot of work ahead, hoping for a good harvest.” “We need to remove everything in a timely manner and without losses,” Viktor Semenko quickly reports as the grain pours from the hose into the trailer of the truck. Then the machine operators deftly jump into the cab and confidently move forward, taking their starting position. This year, the machine and tractor fleet of JSC Agronemansky was replenished with a brand new grain harvester, which was entrusted to the experienced machine operator Alexey Karanevsky. He has been working on the farm for 7 years and has never let his team down at work.
– For farmers, the main issue for the harvest period is the weather forecast. Despite the natural disasters, the ear grew generously, so we are in a hurry to remove it as soon as possible,” he says and admits that he was very glad to receive the new equipment. – Convenient, comfortable combine. Working is a pleasure!
Sunny weather, reliable equipment and human resources are enough for the harvest to go smoothly. But if there is no agreement with the heavenly office, then repair teams are created to ensure the uninterrupted operation of the equipment. On the farm, machine operators are completely interchangeable: while some are reaping in the field, others are preparing feed.
Among them is Kazimir Dombrowski, who celebrated his 70th birthday this year. He has been retired since 2009, but admits that he doesn’t care about the years, because he can’t live a day without work and his family.
“I’m originally from these places, and I never wanted to leave.” While still at school, during the holidays he worked as an assistant combine operator. When I graduated, I immediately got a job on the farm – 52 years ago. There is only one entry in the labor record. I’m involved in the preparation of feed, and if I need to plow, I hook up the plow and off I go,” the farmer says proudly. – Bread never comes easy, it is a lot of work for which we are ready. The workers of the enterprise are always among the leaders. I myself have gone up to the ceremonial stage more than once to receive awards.
The advantages are significant. Speaking about the prospects for the
2024 harvest,
the director is in no hurry to blame the weather. He says that there was enough rain and warmth.
– It is important that all parts work like
clockwork . Carry out work strictly according to technology. For example, the agronomic service clearly knows when to apply fertilizer and when it is better to wait. In our case, all the tasks have been completed, and therefore the prospects for the harvest are good,” emphasizes the director of the enterprise. – This year’s yield will definitely be 15 centners higher, or even more, than last year. At the moment, more than 1.5 thousand tons of grain have already been threshed. The average yield on the farm is more than 50 c/ha.
The agricultural enterprise team pays no less attention to the preparation of feed. Silage, haylage, hay.
The quality of milk directly depends on the diet and balance . JSC "Agronemansky" has a livestock of more than 5.5 thousand, including 1,848 cows. There are 7 farms in total, some from the 50s. They are planned to be closed in the near future, as they do not at all meet modern standards.
Milk is received at 23.3 liters per cow. The plus compared to last year is significant – 2.2 liters. The plan is to reach 8,000 kg of white gold by the end of this year. By the way, these are very real prospects after the new dairy complex with the Skomoroshki milking parlor, designed for 1000 heads, was put into operation.
– They built it in a year and seven months. Of the allocated 20 million rubles, we spent only 15 million. We approached the issue competently, and managed to save
money by searching for building materials at better prices. In addition, we carried out some of the work on our own; the farm has its own construction team,” explains Ivan Ivanovich. – The
Minsk Regional Executive Committee and the Stolbtsy District Executive Committee provided great assistance. Part of the funds was allocated by OJSC Development Bank of the Republic of Belarus.
It is not easy to feed such livestock in winter, so feed is prepared here until late autumn. Two cuts have already been removed. With a plan of 800 tons of hay, 725 tons were prepared, haylage - 17 thousand tons (plan - 20 thousand tons). There are still third and fourth mowings ahead.
“At the moment, more than 12 feed units have been prepared for one conventional
head, approximately 40% of the plan,” says Ivan Skvarchevsky. – We will definitely collect more than 20 thousand tons of haylage. The alfalfa has yielded, and in a week we will begin the third mowing.
The farmers will barely have time to complete the grain harvest when the queen of the fields approaches. The farm has 1,250 hectares allocated for this crop, of which 100 hectares are for grain. Slender stalks of corn, one to one, stretch to the sky.
For their work, they are honored.
The hospitable final summing up the results of the harvest for the farmers of Stolbtsovshchina will be held this year in the agricultural town of Stary Sverzhen, where the regional “Dazhynki” will be held. The owners prepare thoroughly for the holiday.
– We are carrying out a major overhaul of the administrative building of our enterprise, with landscaping of the adjacent territory. We are renovating the local House of Culture. Also according to the plan are the asphalting of streets, the replacement of communications in our agricultural town,” the manager lists and notes that everything is being done exclusively for the benefit of the villagers. – So that they can live and work comfortably.
Seeing a respectful attitude from management, workers respond in kind. The agricultural enterprise employs more than 200 people, and everyone makes a significant contribution to the common cause. Local farmers are regular heroes of publications in the local newspaper; they hear words of gratitude for their work not only from the director, but also from the district leadership.
“The farm is among the leading ones thanks to the people who work here and worthily bear the title of grain grower,” the director of Agronemansky OJSC is confident.
