Khabarovsk Krai increased egg production in 2021

Poultry farms in the Khabarovsk Territory have increased egg output this year, including through state support. This was announced by the deputy HEAD of the department for the development of the agro-industrial complex and breeding work - the head of the livestock department of the regional Ministry of Agriculture Elena Talalay.

"The expected volume of egg production for 10 months is 282.4 million pieces, which is 101.8% of the same period in 2020 or 84.6% of the planned egg production in 2021. The plan for 2021 is 333.6 million pieces" Talalay said.

For products sold, in particular, for eggs and poultry MEAT, poultry farms are annually provided with a subsidy in the amount of 100-120 million rubles at the expense of the regional budget. Support in the amount of four rubles for a dozen eggs made it possible to modernize two large poultry farms and maintain breeding production, the agency's interlocutor added. “By the end of the year, we will increase by another 1 million eggs per year,” Talalay said.

She clarified that the Khabarovsk Territory provides itself with an egg by 85%. The need is about 400 million pieces per year. There is a positive trend in terms of egg output increase.

As for the production of other livestock products in the region, the situation is not so good. The supply of MILK and meat is now at the level of 10%, the need for meat and meat products is 103 thousand tons per year, and for milk and dairy products - 430 thousand tons per year. Talalay previously reported that for milk, there is still a decrease in production indicators by 10%, for 10 months of this year, farms of all categories will produce an estimated 19 thousand tons - this is 90.5% compared to the same period last year and slightly more than 84% of the planned indicator. Meat production figures are also reduced by about 10%.

The volumes of milk and meat production decreased, among other things, due to the disposal of farm animals and livestock for veterinary indications. The decrease in the productivity of cows was also affected by the fact that the enterprises did not follow the feeding ration. Now the authorities are working to restore the herd and its high-quality, productive properties, breeding work has been resumed, support is being provided in the launch of investment projects in the form of dairy farms and meat production.
