Increasing the number of veterinary drugs from friendly countries in Russia

Despite a reduction in the number of production sites from 27 to 22, registration certificates for veterinary drugs have doubled. At the same time, the number of active veterinary drugs from unfriendly countries decreased by 20%, falling from 750 to 579, and the number of suppliers from these regions decreased by a factor of 3.7.

Against this backdrop, the domestic veterinary pharmaceutical industry has expanded: from 1,400 registered drugs in 2023, the number has grown to more than 1,500 by September 2025, produced by 89 companies.
