Rosselkhoznadzor scientists receive patents for foot-and-mouth disease vaccines

According to the All-Russian Research Institute of Animal Husbandry, patents have been obtained for the following drugs:

— “Vaccine against foot-and-mouth disease of the genotype SAT-1/X from the strain “SAT-1/Nigeria/2015”, cultural inactivated sorbed”;

— “Vaccine against foot-and-mouth disease genotype O/ME-SA/PanAsia2ANT-10 from strain “O No. 2356/Pakistan/2018”, cultural inactivated sorbed”;

— “Strain “A/Tanzania/2013” ​​of the Aphtae epizooticae foot-and-mouth disease virus of the A/AFRICA/GI genotype for the production of biopreparations for the diagnosis and specific prevention of foot-and-mouth disease of the A/AFRICA/GI genotype.”

FGBU "ARRIAH" supplies foot-and-mouth disease vaccines to a number of foreign countries. Said Belassi, a representative of the Egyptian company Al-Salhia, told Veterinary Science and Life that foot-and-mouth disease vaccines produced by ARRIAH are "number one in Egypt." And Walid Kazan, a professor of veterinary science from Jordan, said that after Jordanian farmers replaced ARRIAH vaccines with other drugs, outbreaks of foot-and-mouth disease began in the country.

In 2023, the Federal State Budgetary Institution "ARRIAH" developed 13 vaccines for animals. Among them are immunobiological preparations for agricultural and domestic animals.
