USA: Broiler Market Review Week 26, 2022

Average broiler prices in the US market have been on a downward trend for the 7th week in a row. For the week, the price tag lost 0.58%, sales for the week decreased by 4.9%. The average cost of broilers in June was 165.83 cents/lb, up 55.9% from last year. June sales reached £50,701k, up 3.1% from June 2021 levels.

Prices for whole broilers tend to be consistent across all sizes. The range of demand in the catering sector last week was characterized as good. Some factories do not work on Monday due to holidays.

Market activity is characterized as moderate. In the cutting segment, prices for wings and bone-in breasts are stable. The offer is evaluated as increased for the breast and wings. The activity in the cut market is moderate.
