The document establishes uniform requirements:
Rosselkhoznadzor noted that a ban on the use of a number of drugs for food producing animals is being introduced in the customs territory of the EAEU. The list of such drugs is specified in Appendix No. 4 to these rules.
In addition, according to the new rules, the presence of a certificate of compliance of the production of veterinary drugs with the requirements of the rules of good manufacturing practice becomes a mandatory condition. “Registration of drugs for which an application will be submitted in accordance with the legislation of a member state of the EAEU after March 13, 2024 , will be recognized only in the territory of this country,” explained Rosselkhoznadzor.
The department's experts added that the rules are introduced 2 years after the entry into force of the EEC Council Decision itself. There is a transition period for bringing registration dossiers registered under the laws of the EAEU member state into compliance with the new rules until December 31, 2027.
Also, participants in the circulation of veterinary medicines have time to bring the labeling of drugs into compliance with the requirements approved by the Decision of the EEC Council of November 3, 2016 No. 76, before the expiration date of their registration certificates.
