Sesegma Bardunaeva, a resident of the Okinsky district of the Republic of Buryatia, received government support for the implementation of her project on haina farming.
Khainaki are the offspring of crossing yaks with cows. The farmer won the Agrostartup grant, distributing the funds in this way: she spent half on the purchase of agricultural equipment, including an MTZ-82 tractor, a rake, a mower and a hay fork.
Sesegma used the rest of the money to purchase local breeds of cows and yaks. The plans are to increase the number of yaks on the farm to 70 and cows to 40, which will ultimately make it possible to obtain at least 20-25 Khainaks in the foreseeable future. The farmer plans to sell MEAT and dairy products in the Okinsky district, Ulan-Ude and Irkutsk region to private individuals.
- The Ministry of Agriculture helps, organizes many online seminars and interesting meetings for farmers. You also need to be interested in yourself and look for information. The main thing is to have the desire. If you want, you can do everything. I recommend Agrostartap to my friends and family. Everyone wants to take advantage of this support measure,” noted Sesegma Bardunaeva.
Last year, a total of 85.46 million rubles were allocated for grants, explained the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Buryatia. 18 farmers have already successfully implemented their competitive applications and used the funds to purchase young cattle , update agricultural machinery and equipment.
Thanks to this program, 32 new jobs were created, and 457 small and medium-sized businesses were involved in the agro-industrial complex.
- In the current year 2024, the amount of grant support will be 114.3 million rubles. Any farmer can take part in the competition for a grant . The most important thing is to draw up a competent business plan and pass a competitive selection process. A new round of applications for “Agrostartup-2024” is scheduled for the 1st quarter of 2024. State support can be aimed at the acquisition of land, the acquisition of production facilities, equipment, the purchase of farm animals or planting material, as well as the modernization and reconstruction of premises and production buildings, said Sandid Radnabazarova, HEAD of the rural development department.
