According to him, such an initiative has become a logical continuation of positive changes in the consumer behavior of Russians. Today, domestic buyers increasingly choose Russian products, especially in the segment of non-food consumer goods.

"Trust in a national brand does not begin abroad, but here, in RUSSIA. We can already see this in sales, for example, in retail chains. Today, our consumers increasingly choose Russian products. The percentage of sales of Russian industrial goods for some items in household chemicals and cosmetics has already reached about 95%. This gives us reason to understand that our manufacturers are reaching the level when we can position national goods as a source of pride," Chekushov noted.

He added that the idea of expanding the "Made in Russia" program to the domestic market was formed jointly with the General DIRECTOR of the Russian EXPORT Center, Veronika Nikishina. The main goal is to strengthen trust in the "Made in Russia" brand not only as a foreign economic instrument, but also as a quality mark aimed at the Russian consumer.

The program for promoting the national brand "Made in Russia" was adopted by the Russian government in February on the instructions of the HEAD of state. The program is coordinated within the framework of the national project "International Cooperation and Export" by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, and the main functions for its implementation are assigned to the Russian Export Center.
