The competition is held annually as part of the PRODEXPO exhibition, where AGROECO presented its products for the first time this year. The winners were determined by a commission consisting of industry experts, specialists from food and processing enterprises, and independent experts. The composition, organoleptic properties and appearance of the packaging became the main selection criteria.
“10 gold diplomas for 10 products. 100% hit. This is a high assessment for us and we are glad that connoisseurs of delicious MEAT have given preference to AGROECO products,” said Boris Dekhaev, AGROECO Marketing DIRECTOR . “We also presented a new line of DUROC, which received recognition at the competition and aroused great interest among participants and guests of the exhibition.”
As a result of the competition, ribs, minced meat, shoulder blades, sausages and more received high awards . Premium DUROC pork was also awarded gold medals : neck steak “Marble”, cutlet on the bone “Marble”, pork ham, which AGROECO presented for the first time at the exhibition. The product is distinguished by a special marble pattern, which gives the meat juiciness, delicate structure, as well as exquisite taste and aroma, and has no analogues in the consumer market.
“We have extensive experience working with the Duroc breed. We have been using it for many years when breeding our commercial livestock in order to improve the quality of all our products, and also sold Duroc pork in our own company stores,” noted Vladimir Maslov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of AGROECO Group of Companies. – We conducted research among the professional community to determine the differences in Duroc pork, and the results were impressive. Our marbled pork has already been highly praised by professional chefs. Now DUROC will appear on the shelves of chain stores, which means it will become available to a larger number of gourmet pork lovers.”
Last year, the company launched a new pig-breeding complex, which, after reaching full capacity, will produce more than 16 thousand tons of pork in live weight, of which 6.5 thousand tons will go to the market in the form of packaged products under the DUROC brand. This year the company plans to sell about 1,200 tons of premium products in chain stores, and in the future to significantly increase production volumes.
