Leukosis is a viral disease that can significantly reduce the productivity of dairy cattle and cause economic losses to farmers. This virus is transmitted through blood and MILK , making it particularly dangerous in intensive farming environments. Therefore, prevention and early diagnosis of leukosis are key aspects of cattle HEALTH management.
As part of the new project, the contractor will select at least two regional dairy farming companies. The main objectives of the study include a comprehensive zoohygienic analysis of animal housing conditions, an assessment of the microclimate and building conditions, optimization of stocking density, and an analysis of feeding methods and life support systems.
Furthermore, a key part of the project will include laboratory testing aimed at assessing the effectiveness of betulin-based products and their derivatives. This research could significantly contribute to the fight against leukemia and improve dairy cattle productivity in the region, which, in turn, will have a positive impact on the regional economy.
