Veterinarians in Transbaikalia first discovered infectious nodular dermatitis in cattle. A dangerous infection was registered in Ononsky and Olovyanninsky districts. This was reported on September 1 on the website of the regional State Veterinary Service with reference to the head of the department, Andrei Lim.

- In the past, dermatitis was never registered in Transbaikalia. Presumably, it was brought to our territories by blood-sucking insects. More than 80 cases of the disease have now been recorded, Lim said.

He noted that the vaccine against infection will soon arrive in the foci of infection from neighboring regions, as well as from the Altai Republic. In a short time, more than 12 thousand head of cattle will be vaccinated.
