
The HEAD of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of Tatarstan Marat Zyabbarov, within the framework of the international economic summit "Russia - Islamic World: KAZANSUMMIT 2021", held negotiations on the development of trade and economic activities and investments in the agro-industrial complex.
Among others, the issue of quality, the search for distribution channels, and the increase in the production of halal products were discussed. At the end of 2020, Tatarstan increased exports to $2.5 million, the target for the current year is $5 million, Zyabbarov said at a meeting with Renat Shigapov, Vice President of GAP RESOURCE. He added that “due to the high level of demand for poultry MEAT, for halal products, the priority of the republic is the countries of the Persian Gulf.
The head of the department also met with representatives of Kazakhstan. EXPORT of products from the Republic of Tatarstan to Kazakhstan in 2020 amounted to $38.8 million. The main share of 36.7% falls on products for the preparation of sauces. Sunflower oil ranks second in exports of products. On the third are tomato ketchups and other tomato sauces.
The parties agreed that it is necessary to create a working group and study in more detail the areas of possible cooperation.
Further, Zabbarov discussed issues with the Iranian delegation, which was headed by a member of the board and managing DIRECTOR of Iran Dairy Industries Trading Company Golizadeh Yagmur. In 2020, the volume of trade turnover between the countries increased by 44%, exports to RUSSIA from Iran grew by about 105%. As a result of the negotiations, it was decided to create a working group, which within a month will outline all points of contact between our countries. A month later, it is planned to hold a meeting and begin to anticipate the plans.
