Lipetsk region expanded the geography of exports of agricultural products to 80 countries

The Lipetsk region supplies food and agro-industrial products to 80 countries of the world, the Ministry of Agriculture reports. According to the regional administration, in 2022 the region sent 1.2 million tons of agricultural products and food to foreign markets, which makes it one of the main suppliers of food products for EXPORT. At the same time, as specified in the message of the department, the region occupies a leading position in the country in the production of greenhouse vegetables, SUGAR, canned food, MILK baby food and many other products.

According to Agroexport, in 2022, 50% of the region's exports came from fat and oil products. Also a significant part of the export was grain, baby food, soft drinks, beet pulp, FLOUR, beer and tobacco, as well as yeast and animal feed. 

In February 2023, according to the ROSSELKHOZNADZOR , 667 batches of livestock products were exported from the Lipetsk region, including 862 tons of poultry MEAT, which went to Saudi Arabia, Vietnam and Benin, intestinal and endocrine raw materials (352 tons) to Poland, 35 thousand tons of vegetable feed to Latvia.

The Ministry of Agriculture notes that the Lipetsk region has rapidly developed the production of greenhouse vegetables - if in 2009 the collection of greenhouse vegetables was less than 9 thousand tons, then in 2022 it was already 168 thousand tons. Since 2019, the Lipetsk region has been ranked first in the production of greenhouse vegetables throughout the country, according to the Ministry of Agriculture.
