Kazakhstan: Maikuduk poultry farm resumed production

After a year of downtime and modernization, the Maikuduk Poultry Farm began selling products. The enterprise will reach its full capacity by May next year. This was reported in the akimat of the Karaganda region.

One of the largest factories in the region resumed work in January this year. We received our first product in May. Now the eggs are selected, categories C1 and C2 are sold in Karaganda, Almaty, Nur-Sultan and Kokshetau. The products are also exported to Afghanistan.

“Starting from January 2022, we have bought 195,000 heads. These are high-yielding hens, Cross Highsex Brown and Dekalb White from Sverdlovsk. Chicken crosses are hybrids of several breeds to achieve high egg and meat production. Now the older birds are laying, the younger ones are being reared,” said Dinara Malgazhdarova, director of Maikuduk Eggs LLP.

To date, the factory receives 177 thousand eggs per day, that is, 94% of the total population is laid. The production capacity is 100 million eggs per year and about 600 thousand heads.

The production employs 120 people. At full capacity, 170-180 people will be employed. In the near future, the equipment will be updated, negotiations are already underway with suppliers.

The factory is also negotiating a memorandum for the supply of eggs with the regional department of agriculture.

The factory will start operating at full capacity in May next year. At the same time, it is planned to expand the finished product workshop and launch an incubation workshop for hatching young animals. Today, four poultry farms operate in the Karaganda region, the akimat informed.
