Brazil increased chicken exports in March

This is 95.8 thousand tons or 22.9 percent more than the same period last year. In monetary terms, the sale of this MEAT increased by 27.2 percent - from 771.7 to 980.5 million US dollars. The increase in production is associated with an increase in capacity, and sales - high demand, supported by good quality products.

In general, for the first quarter of this year, chicken exports in monetary and physical terms increased by 25.5 and 15.1 percent - up to $2.573 billion and 1.314 million tons, respectively. Of specific countries, Brazilian exporters shipped the most to CHINA , with 187,900 tons. This is due to high interest in the rapidly growing Chinese market on the one hand and high demand from the PRC on the other. The second and third places in terms of imports were occupied by the EU countries and SOUTH KOREA by a wide margin - 62,200 and 50,900 tons, which is 24.1 percent and 43.7 percent more, respectively.
