A resident of Vitebsk brought a counterfeit banknote from a bank of jokes to the exchanger

April 18, Vitebsk. A resident of Vitebsk brought to the exchanger a banknote from a bank of jokes with a face value of 5,000 Russian rubles. This was reported to a BelTA correspondent by the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.

Law enforcement officers found out that a resident of Vitebsk came to the exchange office after meeting with a friend. "The man, who was in a state of intoxication , gave money as a thank you for the earlier assistance. He later said that he knew that the money was not real, but decided to play a joke on a gullible friend," the police department explained.

On the fact of the incident, the Oktyabrsky District Department of Internal Affairs of Vitebsk is conducting an investigation. The actions of the joker will be given a legal assessment.
