October 26, Vitebsk. A resident of Polotsk, after a quarrel with his wife, took all the accumulated money out of the house, and later he was robbed. This was reported to a BelTA correspondent by the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee.

Last weekend, a 21-year-old from Polotsk, after a quarrel with his wife, took out his personal belongings and accumulated savings in the amount of $7,000. The young man decided to forget about the conflict in the entertainment establishments of Polotsk. All night long he walked in a big way, showed others a pack of dollars, treated them to expensive alcohol. The Polotsk "oligarch" spent about $1,000 on tips.

In the morning the feast continued in the country estate. After another dose of drunk alcohol, the man fell asleep right on the sofa in the hall. A man passing by hurried to take advantage of the situation. The attacker initially stole several hundred-dollar bills in foreign currency from the sleeping man from his jacket pocket, and after a while returned and took all the contents from the purse. Having deftly enriched himself, he called a taxi and left in the company of two women.

It took investigators less than a day to restore the picture of what happened and find the offender. It turned out to be a 35-year-old resident of Polotsk with no previous convictions. Law enforcement officers confiscated more than $4.5 thousand and returned it to the victim, the attacker managed to exchange $750 for Belarusian rubles, spend it on alcohol and food.

Investigators opened a criminal case on this fact.
