April 13, Brest. The prosecutor of the Kobrin district authorized the detention of a 46-year-old driver accused of an accident with four victims. This information is published on the website of the Prosecutor General's Office, BelTA informs.
The accident happened on January 2 in Kobrin. A drunken man got behind the wheel of a Toyota Land Cruiser. He had 2.1 ppm of ALCOHOL in his blood. On Internatsionalnaya Street, the driver drove into the oncoming lane, where he crashed into a Peugeot 306 driven by a 23-year-old resident of the Kobrin district.The drivers were not injured in the accident. In Peugeot at that moment there were four passengers who received injuries of varying severity.
"In 2019-2021, the accused was brought to administrative responsibility seven times for violating traffic rules. The prosecutor gave a sanction to take the violator into custody, taking into account the circumstances of the crime, the severity of its consequences and the personality of the man," the prosecutor's office added.
