The Investigation Department of the USC for the Mogilev region revealed the details of the criminal case about an accident with an injured passenger, who was diagnosed with a mental disorder after the incident. BELTA was informed about this by official representative of the USC for the Mogilev region Tatyana Starosotnikova.

The accident happened on the night of May 24. A 23-year-old resident of Mstislavl is in a strong stateunder the influence of ALCOHOL, he was transporting a 27-year-old friend in the front seat in a UAZ car with faulty brakes. The men rode over potholes and potholes on a field road near Mstislavl. When entering the main highway, the driver lost control of the steering. The car slid into a reclamation canal and crashed into an earthen slope.

The friends were injured, but decided not to report the incident to the traffic police, since both were drunk at the time of the accident. The driver pulled his friend out of the car and took him home, and on the way he posted a photo on social networks where he and his friend were covered in blood. Subsequently, the photograph became one of the evidence of the crime.

In the morning, a young man who was a passenger told his mother that he was injured after falling from a bicycle. However, the woman did not believe her son and went to the hospital. And when I saw a wrecked UAZ in the yard of his friend’s house, I immediately went to the law enforcement officers. During the investigation, it was established that the UAZ car in which the friends had an accident belongs to the uncle of the driver, who allowed a relative to use it.

As a result of the accident, the passenger received severe HEAD injuries, which caused him a mental disorder. The actions of a 23-year-old resident of Mstislavl are qualified under Part 4 of Article 317 of the Criminal Code - violation of traffic rules by a person driving a vehicle while intoxicated, resulting in negligence in causing grievous bodily harm.
