In Minsk, a friendly feast ended in a brutal murder. Investigation completed

April 5, Minsk. The investigative department of the USC for the city of Minsk has completed the investigation of a criminal case on the brutal murder of a 38-year-old man. BelTA was informed about this by Ekaterina Garlinskaya, official representative of USC in Minsk.

On the morning of November 27 last year, the body of a 38-year-old Minsker was found with numerous injuries in one of the apartments of a house on Gerasimenko Street in Minsk. Investigators found that two men drank alcohol the day before in the said apartment. Police officers on suspicion of committing a murder detained a 54-year-old owner of the apartment.

"During the investigation, it was established that, being at the place of residence the night before, the accused drank alcohol with his friend . After a few hours of communication, the man asked the guest to leave the apartment. The friend was indignant and said that he had quarreled with his wife the day before and did not want to return home. Then the defendant took his friend by the hand and led him into the hallway. in a state of intoxication , the owner of the apartment went to bed," the USC said.

According to experts, the man died at the scene almost immediately. Later, in the course of a forensic medical examination, it was established that the injuries on his body were formed from at least 30 traumatic impacts. Experts of the GKSE found that the death of a Minsk resident was caused by a combined injury to the head, torso and upper limb, which was complicated by profuse blood loss.

The first to discover the body was the underage son of the defendant, who at the time of the crime was visiting a friend. Entering the apartment on the morning of November 27, 2021, a 15-year-old boy saw a body without signs of life in the hallway and informed his cousin about it by phone. Upon arrival, the brother called the police.

During the investigation, it was established that the defendant had no previous convictions, a year before the crime was brought to administrative responsibility for a family scandal with his brother, has a dependent minor child who was raised alone. It is also worth noting that the friends have been talking on friendly terms for about a year and have maintained good relations, there have not been any conflicts between them before.

The investigation interrogated the accused, identified and interrogated witnesses of the incident, seized and studied material evidence, conducted expert studies.

The defendant's actions are qualified under clause 6, part 2, article 139 (murder committed with extreme cruelty) of the Criminal Code of Belarus. A measure of restraint in the form of detention was applied to the man.

The criminal investigation has been completed. The materials were handed over to the prosecutor for sending to the court.
