May 22, Moscow . The Prime Ministers of the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union will take part in the meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council, which will be held on June 7-9 in Sochi. This was announced by the official representative of the Eurasian Economic Commission Iya Malkina at a briefing following the meeting of the EEC Council held on May 22, which approved the agenda of the upcoming intergovernmental council, BelTA has learned.

"The prime ministers will be provided with information on the implementation of the roadmap for cooperation between the EAEU countries within the framework of the climate agenda, on the further development of the integrated information system and digital agenda of the EAEU, on the results of negotiations on concluding a free trade agreement with Iran, on the progress of work on an agreement on the regulation of ALCOHOL market in the EAEU," said Iya Malkina.

Also on the agenda of the intergovernmental council is the implementation of the action plan for the digitalization of freight rail transportation in the interests of developing trade and economic cooperation between the EAEU and CHINA, the action plan for the development of electronic document management at sea checkpoints of the EAEU states for 2023-2025 and monitoring the assessment of the regulatory impact of draft decisions EEC.

"The heads of government will consider information on the progress in removing barriers within the framework of the functioning of the EAEU internal market, a report on the creation and development of transport infrastructure in the territories of the EAEU states in the East -West and North-South directions, including as part of the interface with the Chinese initiative "One Belt, one way", an annual report on the state of competition in cross-border markets and measures taken to curb violations of the general rules of competition in them and other topics," the EEC official said.

"It is expected that an agreement on mutual recognition of documents on academic degrees in the EAEU states will be signed on the sidelines of the meeting," Iya Malkina added.
