Law enforcement officers of the Brest region opened 8 criminal cases on the facts of theft during the harvest

July 26, Brest. Since the beginning of the harvesting campaign, 8 criminal cases have been initiated in the Brest region on the facts of theft of property of agricultural enterprises, BelTA learned from the police department of the regional executive committee.

Offenses were revealed during the raid activities. So, in the village of Belavichi, Ivatsevichi district, at the place of residence of the head of the warehouse of an agricultural organization, employees of the District Department of Internal Affairs found and seized 100 liters of colored diesel fuel. The machine operator of one of the enterprises of the agro-industrial complex of the Pruzhany region poured fuel from the tractor assigned to him. The stolen diesel fuel was discovered by local police inspectors together with employees of the department of the Department of Security during an inspection of the home ownership of the machine operator sanctioned by the prosecutor. Several more similar facts of theft were revealed at neighboring agricultural enterprises.

The stolen diesel fuel was confiscated and handed over to the organization for safekeeping. All facts are being checked within the framework of administrative legislation. In total, since the beginning of the harvest, law enforcement officers have compiled 49 administrative materials. Four machine operators were detained while operating agricultural machinery while intoxicated .

"Practice shows that often the prerequisites for violations are created by the heads of farms themselves. Malfunctioning equipment, lack of proper control and inaction of officials responsible for ensuring the safety of the property entrusted to them - all this contributes to the commission of crimes and offenses," the Department of Internal Affairs noted.

Raids to prevent and suppress theft of inventory items in the agro-industrial complex, to ensure law and order and discipline in work teams will continue.
