Minsk City Executive Committee told how trade and festive venues will be organized on May 9

May 4, MINSK. HEAD of the Department of Culture of the Minsk City Executive Committee Vitaly Brel told reporters today how the work of thematic sites and shopping facilities will be organized, BelTA has learned.

By May 9, more than 150 events have been approved, some of them are already taking place in Minsk. "Meetings with schoolchildren and adults are held in all libraries, theaters have also prepared a number of concert programs. The main idea of ​​the city events of the main day is the Year of Historical Memory, the unity of the whole country, the unity of different generations of Belarusians, admiration for the feat of the Belarusian people during the Great Patriotic War" - said Vitaly Brel.

"The space along Pobediteley Avenue will be divided into thematic zones. The first one will unfold on the site near the Sports Palace, a festive fair will be organized from May 7 to 9. On May 9, the concert program "We Remember, We Are Proud" will be held here from 12.00 to 23.00," added Vitaliy Brel. - The second thematic zone will be located along Pobediteley Avenue: from the Palace of Sports to the architectural and sculptural complex "Minsk - the city of a hero". Here they will organize the quest "School of a young fighter", a partisan camp, a platform "Soldier's Rest", front-line concerts and cultural and patriotic marathon "Look and remember".

The third zone will be located at the main entrance of the Pobeda museum and park complex. A military exhibition of the Ministry of Defense will operate along Masherov Avenue until the intersection with Pobediteley Avenue. UGAI GUVD of the Minsk City Executive Committee will present interactive thematic sites on road safety. On the nearby stage there will be a performance of orchestras and a gala concert of the Patriotic Song Festival.

"Trade will traditionally be organized on May 9 in all districts of Minsk from 10.00 to 23.00. Each administrative district of the city will have its own sites," continued the head of the main department of trade and services of the Minsk City Executive Committee Elena Nagornaya. - The main site is the Sports Palace, where the fair will operate from May 7. We involved the Minsk Automobile Plant in organizing cultural events, so there will be an exhibition of cars, a drawing of prizes from the MAZ-SPORTauto team, and a performance by teams that work at the MAZ Palace of Culture.

According to her, the most entertainment for children is provided at the Sports Palace. "In addition, a good site is in the Victory Park, where seasonal attractions are already operating. At the same time, each district of the capital will prepare an interesting program and will provide a wide range of services," the head of the main department drew attention.

"The sale of alcoholic beverages will be stopped at all venues in the capital from 22.00," Elena Nagornaya concluded.
