
March 29, MINSK. A drunken lawless man was detained in Minsk. BelTA was informed about this by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The incident took place the night before at the intersection of Sverdlov and Bobruisk streets. The attention of law enforcement officers was attracted by a BMW, the driver of which behaved inappropriately on the roadway. The inspector signaled to stop, but the driver ignored him. The pursuit began. On st. Karl Marx, the foreign car stopped, the driver tried to escape, but was detained by traffic police. According to visual signs, the man was in a state of intoxication. The result of a medical examination showed 0.88 ppm of ALCOHOL.it was established that in October 2020, the 42-year-old violator was deprived of the right to drive transport, after which he was repeatedly stopped by traffic police and brought to justice as a lawless person.
The State Traffic Inspectorate recalls that drunk driving is subject to a fine of up to 200 basic units (1 BV - Br37) with deprivation of the right to drive for up to five years. For a repeated violation during the year, a similar violation threatens criminal liability with confiscation of the vehicle. Not only administrative, but also criminal liability is provided for those without rights, up to restriction of freedom for up to two years.
