April 14, Minsk. The traffic police of the Minsk region will serve in an enhanced mode at the weekend. BelTA was informed about this by the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee.

"According to the analysis of traffic accidents, the days before the weekend and the weekend are considered the most dangerous. This is due to mass trips out of town, heavy traffic, drivers' relaxation, fatigue, drowsiness while driving, or vice versa, rush, as well as drinking alcohol before the trip. In order to prevent Road traffic accidents and suppression of offenses by road users from April 14 to April 17, the State traffic inspectorate of the Minsk region organized a service in an enhanced mode.who do not have or are deprived of the right to drive vehicles, as well as the suppression of traffic violations by pedestrians and cyclists in places (zones) of mass recreation of citizens and near them," the traffic police said.

Drivers of motor vehicles will be under special control of road guards. Since the beginning of the year, 224 such drivers have been identified and brought to administrative responsibility in the region, of which 14 were in a state of intoxication, and 70 did not have the right to drive vehicles of this category. As a result, in 5 traffic accidents, 1 motorcyclist died, 4 were injured of varying severity.
