July 21, Grodno. The State Traffic Inspectorate of the Grodno region, together with a separate special platoon "Delta", conducts intensified patrols from Friday to Sunday. BELTA was informed about this by the press service of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Grodno Regional Executive Committee.

Particular attention will be paid to identifying drivers who do not have the right to drive a car.

Since the beginning of the year, 6 road accidents caused by people without rights have been registered in the region. As a result, two people were killed and eight were injured.

To prevent and suppress unauthorized driving and control in a state alcohol intoxication , as well as road accidents occurring for these reasons, from today until the end of the week, the State Traffic Inspectorate is carrying out a set of additional preventive measures.

The patrol areas of traffic police inspectors will be close to areas where citizens are in large numbers, gas stations and 24-hour retail outlets, the traffic police explained. Employees of a separate special platoon "Delta" will provide assistance to the traffic police.

During enhanced patrols, open and mixed traffic control will be used.
