
December 2, Minsk. The prosecutor's office of the Savetski district of Minsk has authorized the application of a preventive measure in the form of detention against two girls who are accused of desecrating state symbols, BelTA informs citing the information service of the Minsk prosecutor's office.
According to the materials of the criminal case, on November 22 this year, 18-year-old and 19-year-old suspects in a state of intoxication tore the state flag from the facade of the building of the hostel of the Minsk Komarovsky Market. Then they went along Belomorskaya Street and defiantly waved the flag. Seeing the employees of the internal affairs bodies, they threw the flag on the ground - these actions were regarded as an outrage.The prosecutor authorized the application of a measure of restraint in the form of detention, taking into account the circumstances of the crime, as well as data on the identity of the suspects.
The criminal case is being handled by the Soviet (Minsk) district department of the Investigative Committee.
