Livestock farms in Kabardino-Balkaria operate a "green conveyor"

In Kabardino-Balkaria, livestock farms continue to feed farm animals according to the “green conveyor” scheme.
The "Green Conveyor" provides animals with green juicy food up to the winter-stall content.
This period is also called the season of "big milk": supplementing the diet of cows with juicy herbs significantly increases the milk productivity of animals, and the palatability of milk also improves. In addition, the daily weight gain of livestock is increasing.
The source of green mass is sown lands, as a rule, these are crops of perennial or annual grasses of legume-cereal grass mixtures, as well as natural hayfields and pastures. The green mass obtained from the collected grasses is distinguished by high fodder qualities.
In general, annual and perennial grasses, including grasses for green fodder and haylage, have been sown on an area of ​​more than 3.5 thousand hectares.
Agricultural producers of the republic have already removed winter rapeseed for green fodder, a mixture of winter cereals and legumes, as well as early spring crops for green fodder.
If we talk about perennial fodder grasses, then agrarians can harvest up to three or four cuttings per season, it all depends on the weather.
