In Kabardino-Balkaria, the plan for the commissioning of irrigated lands has been exceeded

In Kabardino-Balkaria, 9.3 thousand hectares of irrigated land were put into operation in 2021, which is about 110% of the target for 2021.

Of this area, 4.38 thousand hectares of reclaimed land were put into operation under the departmental program "Development of the reclamation complex of Russia", and 4.92 thousand hectares of land were put into operation under the regional project "Export of agricultural products" of the national project "International cooperation and export".

In the framework of existing programs for melioration, agricultural producers purchased 56 wide-sprinkler sprinklers and 5 sprinkler irrigation systems in the past year. Also, work was actively carried out to install drip irrigation, which is widely used in vegetable growing and horticulture.

The volume of state support brought in the form of subsidies to the farmers of the republic for measures in the field of land reclamation in 2021 amounted to over 615 million rubles, including 593.4 million rubles from the federal budget and 21.7 million rubles from the budget of Kabardino-Balkaria.
