Tambov region increased fish production

According to the results of nine months of this year, Tambov enterprises produced more than 5 thousand tons of processed and canned fish. The volume of production increased by almost 30 percent compared to the same period last year.

Fish processing in the region is carried out only by small businesses. One of the main producers is Tambov Ryba LLC. This is a full-cycle fish and seafood processing enterprise. it produces more than 300 types of cold and hot smoked fish, preserves, salted fish, as well as frozen fish semi-finished products.

Since 2018, the enterprise has begun processing fish grown in the Tambov region. Processing began with catfish, now local sturgeon and trout are already being processed, these are cold and hot smoked fish, semi-finished fish products, fish snacks.

The main local supplier of fish products in the region's market is OOO Tambovsky Sturgeon. This is the first closed-type fish-breeding complex in the region. The farm breeds valuable fish species (sturgeon, rainbow trout, African catfish). Hot and cold smoking of sturgeon and trout carcasses is carried out. Fish products are sold in the region, in a pandemic, the company has provided for the sale of products with delivery by courier.

In 2021, Tambov Sturgeon presented its products for the first time at the AquaPro Expo-2021 exhibition in Moscow at the Crocus Expo. This is a specialized exhibition of representatives of the fishing industry - the International Exhibition of equipment and technologies for the extraction, breeding and processing of fish and seafood.

The company plans to build a workshop for cutting and processing its own products and expanding the range of products.
