The implementation of a major investment project for Karelia, worth about 3 billion rubles, is being carried out by the Inarktika group of companies.
Construction of the plant began in December 2022. To date, about 80% of the general construction work and more than 60% of the work on the engineering infrastructure inside the workshops have been completed - ventilation, heating, etc. In addition, the perimeter of the building has already been completely closed, the installation of equipment and internal metal structures of the plant is being completed, and commissioning of the equipment is being carried out. The construction of the power transmission line was completed at the expense of the republican budget.
The construction site, where work is being carried out around the clock, was visited by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Karelia for Economic Affairs Dmitry Rodionov and acting. Minister of Agriculture and Fisheries of the Republic Olga Palkina. During the meeting, Alexey Bogushov, executive director for the Republic of Karelia of INARCTIC North-West LLC, said that it is planned to begin incubation of eggs in mid-January 2024 . All units of the plant will begin operating by spring. Planting material will be transported to the north of Karelia and the Murmansk region for cultivation in cages at existing fish farms.
The implementation of the investment program within the framework of the import substitution program, with the acquisition of additional land area and the construction of the second stage of the plant in the future, in addition to increasing the share of domestic products in the Russian market, will lead to an increase in taxes, as well as to a potential increase in jobs in the trout farm.
In the near future, at least 45 jobs will be created at the enterprise. When choosing employees, preference is given to residents of Karelia. There are also agreements with PetrSU, which trains highly qualified specialists in the field of livestock farming, aquaculture and agronomy.
