
 The development of sheep and goat breeding in the country will be discussed by the participants of the All-Russian exhibition of breeding sheep and goats, which will be held in Chita on the territory of the Megapolis Sport complex from June 7 to 9. This was announced by the Minister of Agriculture of Transbaikalia Denis Bochkarev.
 “During the second stage of the All-Russian Exhibition, a number of events will take place with the participation of the country's leading scientists in the livestock industry, representatives of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, the National Union of Sheep Breeders and heads of agricultural organizations. Thus, a meeting is scheduled on the topic “Sheep and goat breeding in the Russian Federation: state and development prospects”. Sections and round tables will be held, where participants will discuss problems and ways to solve them, as well as outline for themselves development guidelines and the introduction of modern technologies in breeding work,” the minister said.
 The All-Russian Exhibition of Pedigree Sheep and Goats is designed to demonstrate the achievements of the sheep breeding industry. More than 20 farms from the republics of Altai, Buryatia, Tuva, Khakassia, Altai and Trans-Baikal Territories will become its participants. They will present over 200 sheep and goats. The best agricultural organizations in the breeding sheep breeding of the Siberian and Far Eastern Federal Districts will be named by an expert commission. The winner will receive the main prize established by the Governor of Transbaikalia - a Niva car.
