Analysts of the RSHB project in numbers, together with the Skolkovo Information Center, compiled a rating of the innovativeness of Russian regions in the agricultural sector. The Moscow region took first place in it.
“The region is developing and creating all the conditions for the development of the agricultural sector. Modernization and construction of production facilities and attraction of investments into the industry are actively underway. Thus, in the Moscow region, by 2024, import substitution projects worth 15 billion rubles of investment will be implemented. The completion of 9 projects will create more than 1,500 new jobs,” said Deputy Chairman of the Moscow Region Government Georgy Filimonov, who supervises the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.
He added that agricultural producers receive various government support measures. Thus, this year the Ministry of Agriculture and Food of the Moscow Region will provide 5.1 billion rubles to support agricultural producers under 32 types of subsidies.
“In this way, we stimulate businesses to introduce new solutions and develop innovations. Comprehensive work in all areas, open dialogue between agricultural producers, identification of problematic issues and their prompt resolution are our priorities, thanks to which we have results and high appreciation from the professional community,” added the Deputy Chairman.
When compiling the rating, we took into account such indicators as the volume of investment in innovation and the availability of government support measures for the agricultural sector.
Also, the Moscow region took a leading position due to the high level of the share of innovative goods, work performed, and services in the total volume of goods and services shipped by organizations. Over the past three years, the region has seen an annual upward trend in this indicator.
In addition, analysts noted that in the region the level of education in the specialty “Agriculture, forestry and fisheries” is at a high level. The region produces a large number of specialists with agricultural education. This is facilitated by the territorial proximity to Moscow, where the main specialized higher education institutions and research institutes are concentrated, such as the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education RGAU-Moscow Agricultural Academy named after K.A. Timiryazev, Moscow State Academy of Veterinary Medicine and Biotechnology - MBA named after. K.I. Skryabin, etc.
The region actively cooperates with development institutions and works to introduce technologies through technology transfer centers organized on the basis of specialized research institutes.
In the innovation ranking, the Republic of Tatarstan took second place , and the Krasnodar Territory took third place.
